How many of you guys are using stock replacement head bolts on your high-horsepower engine?

There's a lot of confusion about the ARP studs and I really don't want to wait for them to be shipped when I can get the stock replacements at Dodge. BTW - I'm using an MLS gasket.

wellarp head bolt wont flex and are alot stronger.but its up to you .i would ent want to use the stock ones but thats just my opion.

BUMP! I gotta get head fasteners tomorrow b/c my daily driver took a shit.

Will stock replacement bolts work well or is it a must to go with the ARP studs? I don't have time to machine anything to fit and I need exact part numbers. Thanks guys...

i got some head studs in my room for my rebuild when it comes. head bolts stock are ok. my bud james uses it right now. hmm my other bud is getting the arp head bolt..

I went with the stock head bolts simply because everyone i called about the arp's were out of stock and would take a month to get when I needed them. I would be willing to put a good chunk of change on the stock bolts being fine unless you are boosting 25 lbs and throwing in some n2o at the same time.

Just call ARP directly!!! They always have them in stock and they have GREAT service and ALWAYS delivered in time for me. I've ordered about 3 sets of the head studs and 2 sets of the bottom end studs and every single time its been a great transaction.

Headstuds only for our cars is about 130 bux and they toss in a 15% discount so its about ~ 100$. Its worth it for me cuz i've had my head gasket replaced/head removed for a variety of reasons and its never a re-occuring cost since i re-use my arp head studs.

And of course our MLS headgasket loves being torqued to 70+ ft/lbs!!

I ordered the ARP studs today! Thanks for the advise Kiku! Total was $130 with a 15% discount, putting it at about $110. I paid $140 for everything shipped with overnight delivery.
