38002, air filter Posted by maximus95esi, Nov-24-02 06:13 AM
Ok, I am just about to get a hella tune-up on my car(new valve covers, plugs, plug wires, power steering bearing, timing belt, air filter replacement) and I was wondering if I went ahead and got the K & N air filter if that could be used on a cai unit when I get one...I know it may be a dumb question but I really don't know! What should I do?

the k&n drop in filter is a flat panel filter, so it wont work with a cold air. you can although remove the lower intake section, and put a cone filter at the end of the intake pipe. later chris

Should I even worry about the air filter tune up if I am going to get cai???

no don't spend 40 bucks on the filter and then turn around and spend another 200 on the CAI you just lost 40. stick with the regular filters until you get cold air.
