Here's what I got quoted at the only engine shop that I could find that might be able to help with a port and polish:

"We do all types of engines including foreign, marine , race , etc.
We would be glad to help your project. Porting and polishing is on a time only base @ 65.00hr. A basic port match runs about $150.00. A complete intake port and polish could reach $400.00 to $500.00. If I can be of more help please call or e-mail"

Too much? I kind of want to trust them, because they seem like experts (they build V8's from scratch and can pretty much do anything engine related).

Did you ask them if that price includes the Vasoline and something for the swelling?

yeah I thought ard does it for 150 bucks or so
and extrude hone does it for like 300, and thats a perfect port/polish job cause they flow abrasive sludge through the manifold

The port match price seems really high, im matching mine next week to my 60mm tb for 50 bucks

i was quoted 80 from ARD to port/polish intake manifold

the v8 shop is mostlikly quoting u for somthing that they really dont understand, that is over priced for the product if u chould show them how small and easy it is to port our intake theyd probably not charge u as much as what a v8 intake would take them to do ? i bleeive that the v8 port match at 150$ isn't bad and port and polish the intkae for 4-5$ for a v8 sounds close to normal

yeah.. i recomend you just call/email ARD and see about having them do it for you. That price is ridiculously high and you can get extrude honing for less than that..
