37650, Opinions on Tornado Air

Quotes taken from www.tornadoair.com

"Tornado is a non-moving turbine shaped device, which creates a vortex or swirling effect to the engine. The result is improved airflow into the engine's combustion chamber, causing a more efficient mixture between air and fuel." It also claims to increase gas mileage up to 24% and up to 20 more horsepower.

You put this little fan thingee in your air hose and it is supposed to "creates a swirling, fast-burn effect in the combustion chamber. This creates finer particles (atomized fuel), allowing better flame propagation and more complete combustion"

Has anyone heard anything about this?
Whatta think...good product or junk?

ok, so it "spins" the air in the intake...but what happens when it reatches the throttle body, or the intake manifold and runners? it seems to me like any block in the intake would not be good, so can anyone clarify how "tornado" air would improve HP and gas milage? even if it could, i would assume that the percentage would be som minimal that it wouldnt be noticable at all. the money is MUCH better spent in other mods. think about it this way...theres a certain amount of energy being brought in by the air, and if some of that energy is being used to drive the "tornado", thats less energy in the combustion chamber, IMO.

**nonsense** highly marketed advertising language does wonders...

it wont help, but it may hurt..... just learn a lil about our intake setup, and u will come to find out it wont do squat...

throw a turbo in the mix, and its a diff story. but, this tornado nonsense is, well, nonsense...

payce

I knew it....my friend has been trying to talk me into buying one of these cause he swears that it really works. I'll be sure to let him know that he is a dumbass. I am pretty mechanically inclined...which is pretty obvious...so please excuse this worthless post.

Dont get it. THanks to this board, I saved $35 or however much, maybe $75. I was seconds away from buying the 'spiralmax' which was the same thing. I posted here, over a year ago, and people turned me away from it thank god.
