i'm sure this has been asked before but what is the best intake to buy? I cannot have a cold air intake because it either raining or the ground is covered in snow half the year

actually the AEM and Iceman come in 2 set-ups, so you could switch in case of bad weather.

I like my Injen. Originally bought it in the short Ram and then got the extension pipe. So I can run cold air or short ram. Since I generally leave my car in the garage in cold weather. I've only gone to short ram once. It was an absolute downpour and I was taking a road trip and my boddy told me he ran into som edeep standing water so I shortened it up. It's surprising you really can feel the difference in the short ram set up.

When you say "feel the difference in the short ram set up" is the difference a decrease or increase in performance on a short ram set-up?

Well, I have some experience with intakes. I had a short APC intake. I felt a difference over stock with it. I finally heard AEM CAI over and over. I went out and got one. I also got the bypass valve so I wouldn't have to worry about weather. Anyhow. I put it on. It made a difference even over the short intake. I really like it. You hae to pay for the CAI's though. Mine hit me for close to 300. I heard the Iceman isn't made very well, but that's just hearsay. I can't back it up. I think there are a few guys here with it. Ask them about the iceman. I only know the AEM.

Yeah, you can feel an improvement over stock with the Short Ram. But the Cold air is really the best. especially once you get some speed going. The filter is right behind the opening and it acts like a ram air intake right into the filter. the faster you go the more air you force in there.
