Mmehh... MachV is charging 540 for JE Pistons, 130 for rings (doesnt come with).. Asked them about ARP Main Bolts, they told me ARP will be releasing them in January!?!? someone on the forum told me to look into getting them,, but it seems they don't even exist???

Also wondering... pardon the n00b talk ehre but,,, im wondering if the pistons include the metal "cylinder" shaped bit that connects rods to pistons... my rods are supposed to include ARP bolts,, does this mean i'll be getting ^^that piece^^ with the rods?

Ah found out what the part im wondering about is called... Wrist Pins.... should they be included with my pistons?? (i hope i hope I hope!!?)

I have the je pistons, yes the wrist pins come with the pistons. I got mine from howell, don't they have them in stock? I think they may be cheaper than machV. also the rod bolts come with the rods.

Hmmm.. gah.. cant remember if i tried them or not.... Ack nop I just tried Hahn Racecraft,, then MachV... ill call tomorrow...

Any reccommendations on rings? every bit of saved $ counts..

looks like they're 500 at Howell... Ehh what's 40 bucks. Unless of course they'd only charge me 5 to get them custom made (they dont carry 8:1) its probably not worth the effort..

why dont u try weisco pistons just as good if not better and u can save a few bucks at blackdogmotorsports.com the arp kits are at summit for 98$ for head stud kit and 58$ for main stud kit,

wrist pin should always come with the piston ring wont always

hastings rings are good so are stock je and definatly stock weiscos i choose weisco cause 1 their cheaper 2 i trust the name in any motor i build and have been usging their pistons for along time and 3 cause they are easy people to work with(getting custom pistons made etc..)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ... it seems that the Wiseco's only come in 10.5/12:1 compression... I'd rather do it right and go with low compression... though $400 is tempting.... Ooooohhh 455 for 8.7:1 JE's .... might have to call machV up and cancel.. LoL

Wiseco makes 8.5:1 pistons, a friend of mine has them in his 2gnt. go to www.raceengineering.com , thats where we get all our stuff from, great service and prices. the Wisecos are under 400 bucks for a whole set.
