okay, I think you all remember when I was talking about making a circuit to run an LED that would blink when knock is heard right? well, while i was playing with the Knock sensor to test it for John at J&S safeguard I fiddled a little and now i have a circuit to do just that! light an LED when knock is present! hehe I just have to work out the quirks and then i can be selling these mothers!

I have been working with John at J&S on the installation of the unit. It seems that the 2 channel unit cannot drive the coil directly, however if you have an MSD like I do, you may be able to drive the msd with the J&S. John is currently fiddling with the MSD 8912 tach adapter that we use on our car to see how we can hook the unit up. I have measured values from our knock sensor and provided them to john to work out any quirks. We should be getting together again this saturday to possibly install the unit and see how it works using the data we have gathered. i will keep everyone informed as the install developes.

james, since you got the msd dis2 with two 2 tach adapters, will it be the same setup for us with the crane ignition?. i just got the new style '1' tach adapter so im not sure if it might need to be hooked up different or will work for us crane users?
let me know if he needs to see/check out the crane ignition i could show him or you..
