hey fellas
i decided against goin with the dual canisters (exhaust out the rear) im just gonna go with a single angled for the jdm specc look. im running a 3inch dp of a 16g turbo, race cat, and i was thinking of running a 3.5 inch exhaust, would this be overkill, would i be better off going with a 3 inch? keep in mind i will be runnin 10 psi daily 16 on the track. guys let me know what yall think. any info will be help ful, and please hurry and respond im getting exhaust plumbing done friday

btw what would turbo spool up be like with the 3.5

stay with 3 in. IMO. 3.5 would be a waste of money for only 16 psi

yeah i think 3.5 is overkill unless you're going insane high ass HP, the spool up won't be that effective with it being half size bigger, i would just go with 3in, i have mine 3in and when i noticed it's a real tight clearance with the plumbing through the rear crossmember so it would be difficult for that size pipe to be installed. regardless you'll notice a difference from 2.25 to 3in, and still get good results.

I have the 3.5" greddy EVO. I love it. I don't think it was a waste. Oh, and mine goes under the cross member, not over. :)

Brynden, where did you purchase the GReddy Evo 3.5"? How much? and is it for GST or GSX applications? Also where are you getting all your head work done? What did it cost for the port and polish and valve job?

I got 3" to fit over the crossmember. The dude rolled my trunk kinda. Lotsa bends though, under is better.

Dang 3.5" that's gotta be loud seems like over kill to me. 3 inch hella loud already. I don't notice mine spool up any quicker, haha it's just louder and when I let off the throttle the car don't slow down as fast. probably good for EGTs though.

hey Brynden, you have the piping running under the crossmember? i though that would be too low, do u have pics of it, i might redo it 'cause i don't have mendrel bends.

thanks guys, ive decided to go with 3.25 inch exhaust with a 3 inch test pipe. i will be using a N-1 canister by apexi. thanks for the input!
