3693, my latest mods...

Ok, I installed my pacesetter headers yesterday and got my new timing belt, water pump, and afx udp installed.

I am pretty impressed with the afx and the new header, but it definately wasn't this super big enormous power gain I was expecting, but I am still satisfied with the install. I have more top end and the pulley makes it rev a little easier.

I still get smoked by many car length by my friends ford probe gt, but what's new?

My car seems so much faster when I dont have a passenger though. Odd? I have a stupid automatic. What a nightmare.

The crank pulley is $151 shipped from ptuning.com and the headers are around $140 or so.

I called many places around here and they were all pretty much the same price, so I went to the Coastal Mitsubishi Dealer in Melbourne. I bought my car there back in 98. Originally the guy Jerry quoted me for timing belt and water pump for $427 (which was THE BEST DEAL ANYWHERE) but when I showed up the girl Heather behind the counter wrote me down as $500 when I got there. I'm not one to bitch about money in public, so I let it slide.

Anyway, they said my thermostat was broken and needed to be replaced. So add parts and labor on that... I also had them install a new header bolt because I stripped one when installing my headers. Charged me an arm for that.

Bill came out to $617.00. I'd still recommend going to the dealer, because the quality of the work is better and the warrantee too. Make sure you call and speak with Jerry and say I heard you can do a Eclipse timing belt and water pump for $427.00 and make sure he sticks to it, thats a damn good price.
By the way, might as well get a UPD installed while your in there changing your belts, they'll do it for free. (Like any decent shop)
