I think some of you guys remember the conversation a few weeks ago about the coolant problem i've been having.

Well, i changed my oil a few days ago and noticed a huge spot where a mixture of coolant sealer and coolant had blown back onto the passenger side of the oilpan, right under the timing cover, so now I know for sure that what I have is a leak, unless it's just my thermostat housing playing games with me. Would you say that it's a safe assumption it's my water pump that's shot???

That's question 1.

Question 2: Once again, my accessory belt is slipping off unless it's unearthly loose. I messed around with the tensioner, but it seemed ok...it stops a little shy of being perfect, but i cant hear anything. Safe to say it's the tensioner that's kicking it off? It's not shredding, BTW, it's just slipping off...and off..and off...like, as soon as i boost it's off. Then i swear a lot...put it back on, my neighbors come out every morning liek clockwork and go "belt off again?", then i say yes, and mutter more obscenities under my breath. So, to get it all out. FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!
there, i said it. That's the extent of my problems right now. Anyone is welcome to input comments or exchange some obscenities too.

Sounds like a water pump to me. And check the tension good, if it's not that then there could be a problem with one of the pulleys, are the belts sliding off or snapping?

belts slide off, unless they are unusually loose. Then they tend to stay on for longer. Eventually they slide off so much they either snap or begin to thread.

try your tesnioner bracket inspect pulleys for bent and wobbling

Check the alignment on the crank pulley, if it's not pushed on the crank far enough the belts will turn at an angle and tear the belts up, or slide them off.

That's the strange part, we already had that problem when I first had my engine finished, and it sure enough wasn't on there tight enough, but we remedied that problem. Everything lines up, nothing wobbles. That's why i'm stumped. Unless it's the coolant leak from the water pump thats making it slick???

Is the side bolt on the tensioner pulley tight? are all the other pulleys straight and spin right? Any wobbling at all? I'm sure the coolant doesn't help, but it shouldn't make it slide off just slip.
