Posted by brynden29, Nov-11-02 05:43 AM
I noticed this morning that I was leaking fuel from the #3 injector. So I realized that I was going to have to fix it. I was talking to myke on msn and this is what was said...

Brynden says:
it might be the fuel rail
Myke says:
haha
Myke says:
thats what i think it is
Myke says:
the injector isnt seatin properly or something
Brynden says:
that would be real bad
Myke says:
was it leakin gas?
Brynden says:
yes
Myke says:
behind the firewall?
Myke says:
behind the block?
Myke says:
in the center of the car
Brynden says:
its leaking from the #3 injector
Myke says:
ya
Brynden says:
I saw it
Myke says:
just reseat the teflon
Myke says:
and tighten it down more
Brynden says:
there are no threads on an injector
Myke says:
oh
Brynden says:
it is a rubber o-ring that seals it
Myke says:
i didnt know
Myke says:
ah
Myke says:
sorry
Brynden says:
if that gets pinched it could leak
Brynden says:
either that or the fuel rail was machined wrong
Myke says:
how come u cant fix it?
Myke says:
OH
Myke says:
that would SUCK
Brynden says:
can't get to the rail
Brynden says:
I have no car jack

I went out and bought a car jack and it was the o-ring. I replaced it and all is good. I am just messing with you Myke, but that was pretty funny. :)

Why you need a jack to get the fuel rail, I didnt? But good to see that you got everything fixed alright. P.S. without the jack, taking off the top of the mani was a biatch and I sliced up my arms pretty well, so I guess thats why u wanted the jack huh.

The Kaptain strikes again... lol. Yeah my arms and hands would never fit under enough to get the upper mani off with being underneath.
