I ordered the UDP.
Now i want cams what do you think is the best company that makes cams and how much should I expect to pay for them? What type of power should I expect? And what do you think installation should be?( I dont want to do it myself.)

Well different cam grinds are meant for different purposes, so the first thing you need to figure out is what you are going to be doing to your car in the long run (all motor, nitrous, turbo). Once you figure that out, then decide on what cam grind you want. I would buy Crane cams myself, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are the absolute best. They are definately a good quality solid cam manufacturer though. As far as installation costs... basically you will have to pay for labor on a timing belt change ($400) plus head work (assuming you will get a valve job done also since you should ($200). You might wanna add in a bit more for actual cam removal and installation. A more aggressive cam usually will require heavier duty valve springs and titanium retainers ($150+), you will need a new set of valve stem seals ($60)... So basically when you add in the cost of the cams ($400), you are looking at about $1200 including labor i would imagine to do it right.

Crane or Crower is probably the best bet for new cams.

You sould expect to pay somewhere between $400 and $500 dollars for a brand new set of cams. Howell sells Crane cams.

The question should be how much power do you want. Different grinds have different power curves. Choose a grind that best suits your needs and go from there. I probably got about 20-25hp off the bat with my cams - they're a drag grind. You can't just pin down a number really because with performance cams you'll see bigger benifits from other mods. Like I just installed a 60mm Jeep TB and it lets the cams breath a bit more like they want. So I'll see a bigger gain with the Jeep TB than someone with stock cams. See what I mean? Anyway, I like the drag grind. Some will complain that you have to keep it revved up with the draggers on to see any power, but my argument to that is - don't you do that anyway? If you're going turbo, you can get a turbo grind...not sure what kind of gain you'll see with that N/A.

It should be about the cost of replacing the timing belt + a half hour to an hour labor.
