Is it hard to set the timing on this engines??

My car has 151k miles on it, and I was thinking about rebuilding it. Do you guys think that it would be hard to do it on my own. I know a lot about engines, but are these engines hard to rebuild??

I have a 420a engine, and it is a 95 mod.

What is the best performance rebuild?? I am going to mod it some, but I just want strong parts! Any suggestions on this??

I have a valve cover gasket and spark plug seal rings (Fel-Pro) right now that I am going to put on in the morning. Any special instructions that I need.

If this was my truck (S-10) I wouldn't ask so many questions, but I just purchased the car about 3 or 4 weeks ago, so, I am kinda new to Mitsu's.

Please feel free to give any advice that you think you be of value or even not of value(ha ha) to me.

Thanks to everyone who post in this topic.
