35526, alot of probs
Posted by willy, Oct-22-02 05:15 PM
ok first off when i changed my plugs when i took out the #4 plug wire it was covered in oil. (spark plug grommet right) Then when i checked the oil there was white crap in it. Then i took off the radiator cap and waited for the thermostat to open up and when it did there was a ton of bubbles coming fron the head. ( head gasket right) also i was going like 130 and when i stopped my car shut off and had to push start it now it has trouble starting like i fried the battery or alternator. Some times when i rev it high the car starts to idle at like 2100 rpm's when i let off the gas. So it looks like a rebuild does anyone have any ideas for souping it up a bit like header, cam, crank, and pistons??? Where is a cheap place online to get parts and who makes the best high performance parts for our 420a's?????????????? Thank you for your help

Well You prolly havn't blown anything "Real serious". Do a comp check to see what you really have there. For parts (if you end up rebuilding) See www.howellautomotive.com

blown headgasket and probably a vacuum leak and dying battery are your problems

Get a nice top end rebuild kit from howell with your choice of cams
that includes the headgasket cams, retainers, springs etc..
