35507, BUBBLES??? Posted by willy, Oct-22-02 01:32 PM
well today i found bubbles coming out of my engine when the thermostat opens up. So i guess its a blown head gasket. My question is since im gonna have to tear my engine apart what can i do and should do to modify the engine while its out IE: oversived pistons? cam gears? injectors? Also where can i get aftermarket cheap parts

Where exactly did you see these "bubbles"? Its not uncommon for there to be trapped air in the head/block coolant passages before the thermo opens up, and the coolant starts to circulate. Do a compression test first to make sure something is wrong. Then go from there before you go tearing everything apart.

If it bubbles out of the dipstick, then your headgasket is hella blown! Have you overheated ever? -=B-=
