I heard we can use a neon flywheel but I don't know if we can use a clutch designed for the neon. I need to look into this becuase my clutch wants to be replaced. :(

Yes, we can use Neon clutches. The only reason that the Fidanza is only listed for the Neon is that all 2GNTs came with modular clutch setups and some early Neons were non-modular. that means that you must adjust it to install it. No big deal, but the non-modular setup is a no brainer. Once lined up, it goes in with 4 bolts. That's it. Friggin' easy, compared to the AWD trannies that I have had the pleasure of helping to change the clutches of...

Yesh the non-modular you need a clutch alignment tool, which is basically a replica input shaft. But yes the Neon trans products works, just a metter of modular non-modular, same deal the Neon guys hav eto worry about depending on year.

check my sig... I have the fidanza and SPEC stage 3 and they work quite well.

so we can use that spec stage 3 with the fadanza flywheel setup?
Matt95tgs do you have the modular one? or the non modular? and is it hard to daily drive around? you think it's better than CM Stage 4?

What would be the benefits of changing to non-modular? The only benefits I can see is if you go through clutches a lot then its cheaper.

Another interesting note, is a lot of the 4g63 guys around here are scrapping their lightened flywheels for a regular stock one. I didn't quite catch the whole reasoning behind it, but it had something to do with not performing as well at the track.

From what I have gathered its harder to launch and you have to shift real quick, but once it hooks up the pull is much better. Also rev-matching is easier since the revs just pop up quicker!

Actually, the 4G63 guys who suffer most from alunching/drivability problems with a lightweight flywheel are the AWD guys, who are more prone to bog their launch. I would love to get a lightweight flywheel and a modular clutch, myself... Kinda like an underdrive pulley, allows the mtoor to rev faster.

Nice, thanks for the info. Yeah all the 4g63 guys around here (that I hang out with) are 1g AWDs. Guess I will have to switch when my clutch goes out (knock on wood!!)
