Every say month or two I look at my little clutch fluid resiviour and it's all grey n dirty Inside there is some sort of grey silt. Where can I check for a contamination leak? Could the problem be inside the transmission housing or just the lines? THanks

Have you ever changed it? The fluid brakes down over time plus rust from the slave cylinder and lines will change the color. I recomend gravity feeding the the fluid through it by opening the bleeder on the slave cylinder and keep the resivour full while its running out of the slave. Once you see clean fluid coming out then close-er up. The fluid dont go through the tranny or anywhere else, just from the resivour to the slave.

just flush it. Keep on bleeding it until you see clear stuff come out. Or open the the bleeder screw and let it empty out all the way. Then get a napkin or something and wipe out all that crap in the reservoir. Then put new fluid it and bleed it well. You can do the clutch restrictor mod while your at it too ^_^

THanks...is this the same procedure as bleeding brakes making sure not to get ait in the system?

ya, and its not that hard to do.....i did it today...

yep same procedure, the valve thing is a bit bigger than our brakes but same thing, it's like under the car too :P
