Does the silencer on the Apexi N1 exhaust system affect performance or horsepower?

yes it does, think of it as a bottleneck to your exhaust, it is mainly used just to supress the sound, if you are going on a roadtrip(for example) i would use it, just so there is less of a chance of getting pulled over. i personally have only used mine once, and that was when i went to the emission test, it is actually right my my computer, i use it as decoration, eneryone always asks what it is, i say its a party hat. hope i helped bro.
