So my brand new Bosch Universal 02 sensor shat on me in less than a month and I'm getting wierd o2 readings. The last green LED is always lit - the whole freaking gauge sometimes dimly lights up, it cycles with a long 'tail'. So I was reading the search posts bout this and some folks say get the NOPI one. I don't want another 02 sensor failing on me again..so is stock the best? i'm going to try to get my $80 back from Autozone to get a new 02. I also heard that you can get one from the dodge/ chrysler dealer..for what car tho? For how much? Thanks ahead for the advice

Are you running very rich? If you are you can smoke O2 sensors faster than normal.

Yeah, running real rich, fuel additives, cleaers, leaded fuels(race mixes), fuel injector cleaner, etc... all that shit is bad for 02 sensors... when my o2 works, my gauge doesnt work, or vice versa.. i dont really care though cause i dont use the ecu for that so it doesnt matter

Yep, best o2 is the OEM one at the dealership. Yes,its more expensive, but worth it. I blew my Bosch one pretty quick also, plus i had to wire it up, it wasnt a plug in kind. I think i paid around 120 bucks at the dealer for mine. Its usually cheaper to go to a chrysler/dodge dealer than Mitsu.. Just say you have a Eagle Talon of the same year as your car so they dont give you shit about being a Mitsubishi (some of the parts guys are morons). Be SURE to tell them its the NON turbo motor, and repeat that many times(some of the parts guys are morons) :) I too noticed my A/F guage would cycle slowly. AFter the new one, it cycles very fast, back and forth. This one works right, thats how it should be.
