34435, Jeep TB review
Posted by 1TuffRS, Oct-08-02 01:05 PM
Well my buddy and I finally got around to installing that upper manifold and jeep TB today and all I can say is whoa! On the highway I found myself checking to see if the car was in 4th instead of 5th because it was accelerating as if it was. I think I will definitely be able to get down to a 15.5 with the 17's up front, but Im gonna put the 14's up there and gut the car just to make sure :) On top of the performance gains the car also makes turbo like noises at part and WOT (and yes I know what a turbo car sounds like). In fact when the TB is opening and closing it makes an interesting whistling sound then as well. The only downsides to it that I can see is my Nuespeed bar wont fit anymore (so it will be for sale). If you guys want a write up let me know and I will show you the thread my buddy made on the Carolina DSM board

Damnit! I'm days away. DAYS AWAY!!!! Can't wait to fell the Jeep TB.

This is the wierdest thing. I had a AMC once, I put a Jeep 258 motor and a Chrystler 318 carb on it. Now I've got a Mitsu, and Im putting a Jeep 4.0L TB on it. Just a bit wierd and coincidental. I suppose the next step is that I would put the Chrystler 2.4 in my Mitsubishi with a Jeep TB....just wierd.

well this is the link, Doug basically explained all of the modifications that he did in order for it to work. We have decided to start making these and selling them Hurricane GS style w/ a core charge. We need to get more jeep TB's, but we will send you a modified upper manifold w/ the jeep Tb and instructions. How many would be interested in something like that??

Here is the link to the modifications we had to do

Count me in! What is the turn around time if I send you my stuff?
34455, RE: Jeep TB review
Posted by 1TuffRS, Oct-10-02 09:07 AM
Turn around will probably be around a week and a half to 2 weeks, but we will also be selling complete set-ups, but you will have to pay the core charge (which you will get back once we recieve your stock upper manifold and TB)

What's the estimated install time and what mods will I have to do myself?

34458, RE: Jeep TB review
Posted by 1TuffRS, Oct-10-02 02:38 PM
well it only took us about 30 min with a lift. All you will have to do is replace your stock tb and upper manifold with the one that we supply. No additional modification is required, other than extending a vaccumn hose and we will include the additonal hose with the stuff along with installation instructions that you will need.

I just want to let you know if you guys have any problems I might be able to help. I've had my Jeep TB for over 7 months now with NO problems.

I gone through some problems when I first did the mod.

My fuel seems fine and i'm also running nitrous.

You can email me if needed at Talon95Stang@cs.com

I hope you can get these out. This is a great mod in my book. I just like to do something different than most.
