250-300 lbs... two of us lifted it out of Matt_95tgs's car...its pretty heavy..this is total short block, with pistons and crank still in..but thats it, no head, or any thing else..

No way it's that heavy. I would guess about 120lbs.

My complete 2.4 with clutch, sans manifolds, on a palette was 309lbs. And the 2.4 is 45lbs heavier than a 2.0

Yeah the crank is 33 lbs or so and the block and bedplate with out anything else weighs about 70 - 80 lbs.

hehe, yeah my guess was a tad bit high :) But it sure did feel heavy as all hell when you try and drop the block out of the car from underneath.. Its gotta weigh in at at least 120-130 pounds i would think..I guess its really not that bad..

You can lift the block by yourself. If the crank/bedplate/pistons are still on it, you'll need 2 people. If the Head is still attached, you'll need a hoist.

Hell, my 115lb girlfriend moved my block while she was cleaning the garage. ;)
