34132, Anyones car run "weird" with the A/C on?

my car has done this for a while now, and it more of an annoyance than anything. but on days around here when its 90+ degrees outside, even though i dont like to, i have to use the A/C. when it is on, my revs drop VERY slowly when changing gears, like they stay "suspended" a little longer, and i usually end up waiting on the revs to fall a little with the clutch in, so it wont jerk when i let out the clutch. any ideas on this? not a real big deal, long as it doesnt blow up the engine or rob HP i dont guess it really matters... :-) it just bugs the hell outta me.

Mine does the same thing and I have a udp also. I think it's just that your car is so much more powerful it "feels" like it is a bigger loss in relation to the HP lost when stock. The revs thing I'm not too sure about that but mine does it too.

i thought about the vaccum leak thing too....but my vac readings are always good with the AC on, its a little lower than without it on, but everyones is. it holds -15 vaccum with the AC on at idle.

the a/c is a resistance it takes power to spin it and once it gets going it doesn't slow down ona dime u know if what i would say,

motofool, not to be a dick, but I think everybody knows the a/c robs power. ( at least I think that is what your post is saying, I don't know because the last part seems to not be english :) )

Yeah mine runs odd too. For some reason it won't accellerate as fast with the A/C on :rolleyes ;-) . But really I get the same problem I think he was right though, the added resistance kinda keeps the revs going, maybe the ECU adds more power like when the car is moving the idle stays at ~1200rpm, so it maybe that keeps the revs up!?

I noticed that the other day also, the tach hovers while shifting. Must be a common thing.
