Posted by qwad65, Sep-26-02 07:50 AM
ok the other day iwas hooking my greddy turbo timer up.i went to the ecu and i pulled the air fuel wire off on akident there i taped into the white with black stripe .so i turn the car on and see that the air fuel was showing all the lights then it just whent off.so i think that it is blown so i cut the 3 wires at the back of the gauge .take it to my batt hook red to + black to - and the othe one to the ecu and nothing,i even took a tester light and put it right before the gauge and it deff was geting power ,so is it possible to blow one if so what should i get another light one or a diffrent?please help me out.

You probably reversed the power and ground wires and shorted the gauge, especially, when you know the power source is good. I think it's done.

I got rid of my "blinky" air/fuel meter and bought a digital meter from http://www.gadgetseller.com/gauges/ It costs a little more than the Autometer, but I like the fact that you can see the numerical a/f numbers. It's easier to tune with, plus they come in many display colors.
