33092, help me choose! Posted by ajnastar, Sep-18-02 09:12 AM
i cant decide between the greddy SP or EVO n/a
the SP's piping is 50mm(1.98inches), isnt that the same size as our stock piping??
the EVO's piping is 60mm(2.36inches)
i plan on staying N/A...im gonna put an intake, header, bored TB, and UDP...no nitrous, no turbo...
what gains/losses will i see from each exhaust?
also whats the differenced between stainless steal and aluminized?
thanks guys!

From what I can tell, They both seem to be equal in performance. It's more a matter of sound. The SP should be louder than the EVO. Also I beleive that the EVO fits up tighter than the SP. (can anyone back me up on this?). IMO I like the EVO (wish I had one). p.s. aluminized will rust in time, stainless won't.

The EVO does set tighter to the body. The tip is offset to the bottom, unlike the Apex-i dunk which is in the center. I was lowered 1.75 and never had a problem with clearance. There was no torque loss with the larger pipe. I can't really give you an idea on the sounds. It's been quite a few years since i have heard a SP on a Eclipse. There is no bumble bee in a can with the EVO and the sound is somewhat deep for a 4cyl......Hope this helps. If you want to see a picture of the EVO on my Max, go to: www.cardomain.com/id/maxse03 on page 2.

I have the EVO, and I agree with everything the other guys have said. I used to have the SP; I liked it, but it didn't sound, fit, and look as well as the EVO.
