33081, to those who have pulled out your engine
Posted by talonESi20, Sep-18-02 04:45 AM
I tried to search and couldn't find this but I swear it has been discussed. When you pulled your engine out, did you pull it out the top or drop it out the bottom? If you dropped it out...how (considering that I am just an average do it yourselfer who doesn't have a lift in my garage..etc etc)? Thanks for the help. And if this has been discussed before please give me the link to the thread. Thanks again.

Find a rental center, you can rent a cherry picker with chain for about $30/day. By far the easiest way to do it.

Out the top for sure... Way too hard of fit out the bottom....should pop right out of top...Kind of.

Out the bottom... I thought it was pretty easy dropping the motor out the bottom. When I put it back in though, its definately easier to put it in from the top.

we dropped the center support and turned it side ways and pulled out the top simple as pie (used a cherry picker)
