Funny you should post I was just flipping threough your site and saw those.

Gary, did Crane ever sort out the cams? Have they aligned ti timing peg correctly? so they are actually a bolt in without having to do any indexing?

When is AFX coming out with a Race ECU for our cars?!?!?! If it's anything like the specs on the Neon ECU, I as well as many others on this board would buy one right away!! Please can we at least have an est. date of release if the rumors are true that it's being developed? Thanks a lot!

$350. You know I may build another short block just for the hell of it. Eagle Rods, Ross pistons, Clevett bearings. This sh*t sounds more like Hemi parts than 420A.

So how do the Eagle rods/Ross pistons compare to Crower/JE ?

Ross Arias JE are just about all the same. I prefer Arias but the Eagle rods just don't compare to crower. They look and read like they *might* handle 350HP but I hope I'm wrong because they are dirt cheap and would love to use them on a 500HP engine. The build would be so cheap!

Looking to rebuild a spare block now and need rods. Gary can you compare these rods to crower? I'm turbo now and will make you sale if they can live up to a great potential! BTW Eagle rods have been used for domestics for a while. They're pretty good stuff but import is a different ball game.

These are 4340 steel (same material as crower), H beam, balanced amd magnafluxed with ARP rod bolts. There are two major differences between Eagle and crower rods. 1) Crower is billet 4340 and Eagle is 4340 forged. 2)Crower is I beam and eagle is H beam. Surely they can handle more than 350hp. Thats like making 350hp 2816 forged pistons, why bother? They may not be "set it and forget it" strength like Crower but prepped stock rods can probably hold 350hp if RPMs are kept down (I for one will increase boost until I get 300hp at the wheels, easy 12s or the stock rods break). Then I will build the engine I was too cheap to do the first time around.

...I guess I was wrong:)!! That's some good information though. Stan if you really think that it will hold that much power (say 400HP?) than I think I will buy those for a future project.

Crazy question about this, Assuming these could take 400hp, would this be @ wheel hp or flywheel hp?

...I'm refering to the wheels like Stan said.

BTW 320HP at the wheels is a 400HP engine(crank)
