I was woundering if some one knows of a page on how to do this i don't want to just jump in and do it with out knowing. I am very scard of my car and it's sensors seens it is very tempermental to ran and has died twice because of water. Thanks To all

HEY MAN WASUP, I BORED MY T/B OUT TO THE MAX, U DONT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT NO SENSORS AS LONG AS ALL U DO IS BORE OUT THE T/B, IF U TOUCH ANY THROTTLE SENSORS OR LEAVE A VACUUM OFF OFF OR SUMPTIN THEN U WILL HAVE PROBLEMS, AND TO BORE OUT THE T/B, I USED A DREMEL AND DRILL, GO TO A HARDWARE STORE AND GET A BIT THAT CUTS ALUM. FOR THE DRILL AND DREMEL, I USED THE DRILL TO BORE AND THE DREMEL TO GET INTO THE TIGHTER SPOTS, AND THE CORNERS TO KINDA MAKE THE OUTSIDE OF THE T.B TO FLARE OUT SO THE AIR GOES IN FASTER, AND ANOTHER THING DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT TOUCH ANY OF THE T/B WHERE THE INNER PLATE IS, I NEED TO TELL U THIS IF U BORE OUT WHERE THE PLATE MOVES UP AND DOWN U WILL HAVE TO BUY A NEW T/B IF U GOT ANYMORE QUESTIONS PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK , THANX

What ^^^^^said. If you do it like MitsEclipseRS did it's a ported throttle body, and not as accurate. Have it done or buy one. You can port your intake manifold if you want but be really careful and get some practice first. And plan on taking the day off too.:)

OK now i am lost. I can do either or bore with a die grider or set it up and mill the inside. Do i do both sides or just the side where the cold air intake hooks up.

really if you have question about where to do it and how to do it.... Just dont do it... Venom makes some nice polished ones for like 500. This is a job for perfessionals or atleast someone who's done it before.

for the TB take the whole thing apart, use a break honer on the whole thing, polish it with a dremel, put back together, find a spot you can camp with some vice grips that will hold the TB open, RTV the edges of the butterfly so when it is closed it seals(leave it overnight to dry and if it still has some gaps you gotta put more on and wait another day)then slap it back on your car.

It might be ghetto fab, but it works and its basically free.

*i am not sure if any unburned fuel entering intake manifold by way of the EGR will ruin the RTV but just to be sure block it off.

Hey i did my profes. at Darkside creations, i did it myself with a machine, but i know everyone doesnt have the equipment to do that kinda stuff so i simply said how u can do it urself for the cost of a few drill and dremel bits, i mean it can be done, ive done it to my friends cars and it worked great, this was before i had machines to work with, my way aint the greatest but it works....

so do i just bore it out to 55 mm. It won't be a problom to do just put it on a turn table on the mill find the center and mill. The thing is never taken it off so i dunno if both sides are the same Ie the front is 45mm and the back is 60mm. Or are both sides the same and i mill both side bigger. Obviosly the back will need to be the same as the front or a lil bigger.

If you bore it out on your own like that your butterfly valve will be too small. It wont seal properly.
