32627, Fuel Leakage problem...help Posted by mkerley, Sep-13-02 06:51 AM
I put my electric fuel pressure gauge on about a year ago or so. I haven't had any problems (or at least haven't noticed any) until today. I smelled fuel when I left home. I checked it out when I got to work and it seems to be leaking in the last injector/shraeder valve area. My first impression is that I could try putting teflon paste on the fitting, but I don't know for sure that's even where the leak is coming from. I remember hearing rumors before that the fuel rail was pretty weak in this area. Anybody have any suggestions or comments as to what the problem might be or how to fix it?
The leak is fairly slow, but the fuel does accumulate enough to drip down onto the lower intake manifold, so I need to fix it ASAP.
Thanks, Matt '99GS
PS...i have the star kit, so high fuel pressures have probably helped to cause this.

You might just have a ripped injector o-ring. Pull that injector out and visually inspect the ring. You can probably tell if it's not sealing anymore.
