No.

>is the throttle body bigger?

only the 1g TB is bigger, and it won't fit anyway.

>as will it increase power?

No.

somebody around here dyno'd one and it had about the same TQ and actually lost a few HP.
so.. to answer your question, NO.

Well, I just purchased a 1g turbo throttle body on ebay... the guy was nice enough to inform me that the turbo throttle body would work on my nonturbo... (not too sure about that) Reason being, Im running zex (dry) with an upgraded fuel pump (soon to upgrade injectors) and I wanted to find a way to increase the air flow to my engine while not spraying. To save my bottle/pistons (two bird one stone theory) I currently have ram air which works ok... but I just wanted to find an easier way to add an extra hp hear and there. (If I add more fuel then I have to add more air). So there is a guy at TAMPABAY.dsm that says the TB will fit... but hp increase is not definite. You guys say there is no way the TB will work. Is the Turbo TB bigger (wider)? or is the throttle body the same as a non-turbo? Do the parts not match up if they are different? and will it help increase the air flow? And is the HP gain a myth? there are alot of things to consider here and it seems that everyone wants to make me out to be some kind of idiot... I just ask alot of very detailed questions that require knowledge I dont have... thats all. Thank you for your time

im sure there must be some way of getting the tb to fit... but it would not be worth your time or effort... read from what was said above... just sell that tb to a 4g guy and bore out your existing tb... gains are nice, i dont think the hp and tq gains are that high (1 maybe 2), but it makes its money where with the much quicker response. if you cant afford the downtime.. look around for a 2gnt tb or an avenger (2.0) tb. and have that bored (howell or ard).

Or do this:

http://www.geocities.com/lover232/Enjoy.html

It say's "on a neon" but it's the same engine. The jeep throttle body is 60mm which is larger than ARD will bore ours. It looks like it's got a lot of detailed work involved modifying it...but should work out for you.

The "turbo" throttle body is in a completely different engine. You have a Chrysler 420A and the turbo cars have a Mitsubishi 4g63.

I asked the same question about 2 months ago ;)

Dude, you need to stop posting photoshop slams all over the place...I just answered your question in another thread :) If you search the pits you'll find a thread where basically I was ripped apart cause of my girlfriend standing next to my car...that's why she isn't on there anymore ;)

Basically, as was stated above, the parts don't match up at all. And my advice on the Jeep TB thing is stay away. Way too many guys have had trouble. For the time and effort you'll put into getting that working you'd have it bored and back from Howell/ARD already. If you can't afford down time just buy a stock TB from someone on this site (post a WTB) and send that one out. I apolagize for us if we all sound a bit jumpy to you - we just get these questions alot with the same answers.
