thanks!

Are you taking about the areospeed ones?

These could be worth a couple hp becuase of the ram air effect, as well as the air being colder in front of the car. As compared to the air from the fender.

I wouldn't want to stick one on my daily driver, tho. :)

Yeah, but you might as well cut a hole in your hood and use a short ram intake for ram air. Shorter distance for airflow, and cheaper for the intake, plus better looks.

If you cut a hole in your hood and use a short cia, the cold air will mix the hot air. I think it would be better to mod a ram air scoop from a firebird or something. But that would, i my opinion, look ricer then the areospeed front mount.

doesnt that design also block airflow to the radiator?

hell yeah it will, it's not like a FMIC that atleast a small amount of cold air travel though it. it will completely block the radiator, i agree, a ram air effect will do a better job like the old days.

That's fqn tight! Where'd you get that? Is it a custom hood, custom metal shaping, what?

Found it on cardomain.com. I'm sure he just had a bodyshop cut out the vent, and paint it. I know someone on this site has a hood like this, just can't think of his name.

Yeah, well Civics deserve to get hydrolock!!! Especially if you "try" to make one "fast!"

Some guy, with the blue Eclipse, that had a Sensei front body kit, and in his signature, it showed his car on grass, and there was mirrors around the car.. Hope that helps, but he has that hood, or something similar to that.

if hydrolock would be an issue with a ram air hood then why don't trans ams have this problem?

it takes quite a bit of water to hydroloc the engine, it probably wouldn't happen unless say you have a CAI and go throgh a big ass puddle and your filter is under water. then if would suck up the water like suckin on a straw(unless you have an AEM bypass). even if its raining hard and the intake sucks up small amounts of water the engine heat will vaporize it and even at idle, the RPM are high enough to remove quite abit of water every time you exaust ports open.

Well, I guess that means that his buddy with the Civic was wrong saying his FMCAI caused the hydrolock. Civic owners are pretty dumb after all, just look at what they drive!! He probly forgot to put on the drain plug when changing the oil, thinking it just had to be hydrolock!

either raizin or basic stylez has that done to his brownish colored eclipse (can't put the exact name to the user)
