32092, Mach V NT exhaust, anyone seen/heard it? Other Exhaust Questions Posted by Caribeno, Sep-06-02 07:48 PM
Found this exhaust while browsing through Mach V's site. http://www.machv.com/noncatex.html Just wondering if anyone on the board has this exhaust or has seen/heard it in person? If so how did it sound? How does it come out the rear, sideways, or straight? Is it mandrel bent?
I'm going to email Mach V tonight and ask the same questions just in case no one on the board has had any personal experience with this system. I'll post what they reply.
The other question I had was, would there be a real noticable performance difference between 2.25 inch and 2.5 inch piping? Last 2 cars I had I got 2.5 piping and was happy with it. I'm not going turbo, at least not in the next year, so I'm cool with 2.5, just don't know if the .25 difference will matter. If anyone has had experience with both diameter's any input would be much apreciated.
Depending on the info I get from this post and from Mach V. It will be between the Mach V exhaust and the Apexi N1.

I don't know about that Mach V exhaust but...
As for the 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust, I say get a 2.5". Any catback will lose some low end torque no matter what. So don't worry about that. But 2.5" will give you better top end power than 2.25". Another good thing is that if you DO decide to turbo the car, 2.5" is still nice for a turbo. 3 inch is not necessary and 2.5" will be good. Or if you go nitrous you will want that extra .25". Go woth the 2.5"

Haven't gotten a response back from MachV, but as soon as I do I'll post the reply.
I'm not planning on going turbo or n2o. Staying n/t and just getting basic bolt-ons. So if I'm staying n/t would the .25 make that big of a performance difference? Again, has anyone even heard/seen this particular exhaust offered by MachV?

Here is what Dan from Mach V had to say about the exhaust. For those people not looking to go turbo or spraying, it might be a good alternative to more costly systems. Here is the url to the exhaust as well... http://www.machv.com/noncatex.html
<Pipe is mandrel-bent. Direct fit, includes all you need. I think it comes out of the car sideways -- we had one on a car here a while back, but I have to admit I might not be remembering right -- I look at a lot of cars. Sound is okay -- fairly deep, not like a Honda. Pic attached. The muffler is "Tsudo" brand.
