3206, Help...
Posted by DaSinical1, Jun-12-01 03:52 AM
I got a little problem. My car runs perfect, starts perfect, but looks like its burning oil and the exhaust smells like a little too much gas. What can I possible do (besides taking it to satan) to remedy this problem? What could be the problem?

Thanks

Mark

Well, the smoke color is kinda white. Also, I changed my spark plugs today and their was oil on the bottom, where you gap it. I called up my uncle and he said that it might be the valves. What kinda price am I looking at here. Like I said, the car runs perfectly but the little bit of smoke and gas smell is getting me very worried.

Well white smoke means..NOS..nah..but where's the smoke coming from..your tip? Check all your fuel lines esp. The FPR cuz just recently mine was leaking. I was gettin bad gas mileage.

I think i'm just getting blow by because of the oil on the plugs. Price check on replacing valves and getting my timing belt done at the same time.

3212, Are you losing coolant???

If you are - sorry my friend but your head gasket has gone - usually white smoke, especially when you lay on the throttle means you are burning coolant - Hope that is not the problem - but it isn't all that hard to fix if you take your time, and have the help of a friend. Good luck.

Nope, coolant is always perfect. In fact I just drained and flushed and refilled my coolant last weekend and its all still there. Hopefully its not the headgasket though. Like I said, my car runs perfectly...its just blowing a little bit of smoke and smells a little gassy. But idel, acceleration etc...all is perfect.

Yep, headgasket. black smoke is fuel, blue is oil, and white is headgasket. Get it checked out.
