Question: Is there any significant difference between spending a lot of money on a cat back such as greddy or the apex n-1, vs getting a muffler and having a custom made cat back? Are there any noticeable power gains or losses between the two? Thanks

If you go to a regular muffler shop and get custom (bigger piping) exhaust it will be crush bent and it doesn't flow nearly as well as and aftermarket exhaust, but if you were to go to a high performance shop that does custom exhaust and that has a MANDREL bending machine, then yeah that will be the same as buying an aftermarket exhaust.
The only thing is that shops that have a mandrel bending machine are very hard to find. I only know of like 1 or 2 places in all of Ga. that have a machine that can do mandrel bent pipe. I am not sure but if you do find one and to get them to custom make one you may end up paying close to what buying one would cost.

what if instead of gettin lets say a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust you buy a 3" regular bent exhaust wouldn't that be about the same and still cost less just a thought
