31394, Top end Posted by BMPDirk, Aug-29-02 04:30 AM
Well, my head gasket is leaking and it's time to get it chagned. Since the head was going to be off, i was thinking about doing some top end work. I was planning on getting some cams and gears, but then checked out the top end kit from howell. My question is, are the rockers, lifters, and springs worth the money?? Will i notice any power increase with them...thanks

if your putting a cam in, you will definately want the new springs/retainers, depending on the grind you may be putting more stress on the stock components causing them to fail. and also if its the pt cruiser lifters which i thought it was then they also have a larger oil hole in them which will keep the top end better lubricated, someone on here has a picture comparing stock vs. pt lifters and the difference is totally noticable
