Hey guys. For my AT to 5 speed conversion I need a clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing. I found this for sale. I believe both are for the same package. I don't plan on making much more than a stage 2 HRC turbo kit. Is it any good? Better than stock? Thanks:

Well the 1st one, It looks like it doesnt come with a disk. The second one comes with the whole package. Yer gonna have to email the 3rd to see what that kit comes with exactly. If it were me personally, I would probably buy the 1st kit, then buy a disk with ceramic facings on it instead of an organic disk.

If you bought the second one, you would have about the same grip as the stock clutch depending on the thickness and diameter of that disk vs. the OEM one. If you buy a disk with ceramic facings, you will definately wind up with a stonger, more aggressive clutch at a reasonable cost. You may want to call around locally and find out who can order disks for you if you decide to go this route. There is a shop here that can get the disk for about $100, just to give you an estimate of what to expect.

well you can't change the disc on ours because ours is all one unit unless you've got one of the mysrerious non modular clutches. So you gotta buy the whole unit. Or since you don't have a clutch you can buy a lightened flywheel or neon flywheel and buy a clutch for a neon or something. That way you only have to change the discs out if you want new clutch.

Actually you can change the disks even with the modular clutch setup. All you have to do is drill out the rivits holding the pressure plate to the flywheel and then just tap the flywheel where the rivits were. Then you can just bolt the pressure plate and flywheel back together and bingo... no more modular clutch.

none of them should slip with a stage 2 kit on as long as you break the clutch in properly.

Cool. Would it slip at 350HP, or would it hold more than that? When do you think it would slip/not work great? Also, is it right that to break in a clutch you need to drive it nice and slow for about 500 miles? I can't remember but I read something similar to that.

Also, if you had to pick.. which clutch would you get out of those? I'm thinking the Sachs clutch.
