I am also AT. i was planning on going to the dealer to buy some tranny fluid but i dont know the brand and what is the right kind, also how much will the fluid and that cost me?? so maybe one of you guys could help me out please. thanks.

When I service my tranny I always change the filter. But to totally flush the tranny is a pain in the ass. You'll get a good amount of fluid out when you drop the pan. the torque converter will still be full though. The only place I konw of that does a total flush is the Pennzoil quick lube places. They run two hoses in the tranny. One to suck the old fluid the other to add new fluid. This is all going on at once with the car running. I change my fluid every spring. So if you drop the pan and change the filter I'd say your gonna replace a little over 50% of the fluid every year. Tranny fluid and filter are cheap compaired to a new tranny!

Tranny filter you can get a Autozone or any car parts store. The fluid get from your dealer. I usally get it by the case. A case should last you two filter changes. 12 quarts per case.

hey skater- hope I'm answering in time.....probably not..heh heh

Tranny:
-if you drop the pan, you'll need about a gallon of tranny fluid. I bought a gallon and a quart just in case but ended up needing only a gallon.

-Buy a new filter, my local Satan charged me 13 bucks for that.

-Talon parts are CHEEPER than Eclipse parts. That goes for the filter and the Mopar ATF compared to 3 Diamond ATF.

-Buy a tube of sealant/gasket maker too.

I changed my tranny fluid two weeks ago and it was messy as hell! Make sure you have a huge drain pan underneath. It was also a bitch ripping the pan off after removing all the bolts. After you are all done, apply the sealant and torque the bolts to 14lbs with a torque wrench. Hope this helps.
