hey guys got a small issue..

when accelerating , usually around 2nd ro 3rd gear, in the lower RPM range, mycar will stutter or buck, like it's losing power. I originally thought it was the throttle body, which i cleaned, but the problem is still here. I dont think it's the fuel filter, i dont seem to have any problem with starting or idling at all, it idles very steady. any ideas?

Its probably your spark plug wires. A buddy of mine wanted me to use his old wires since mine were the same ones that were on the car since it was made (they had the actual date on them)and even though I wasnt experienceing any problems, I was like why not. Well I put those damn wires on and it just f-ed up my car after a day. I was pissed, but to make sure that it was just the wires and not something more serious we swapped in his performance wires and all the bucking and hesitation ended. I bought a set of Accel's and I love them, no more bucking at low rpms, its beautiful, and it feels like Ive gained my power back as well. But change them out asap, cuz it will get worse (mine started doing it in first gear eventually causing me to slip the clutch like a mad man)

hmm mine seems to do that only during warm up don't know why. I should probably clean my intake manifold it's probably filthy.

still fighting this issue.. driving me crazy.. i have cleaned the intake mani and swapped plugs for bosch platinums , but it's just killing me at the lower rpms.. I can even hear it at idling. almost like it's out of time, but over 3k the car runs fine if I'm on the gas.. gotta do something soon. anyone else got any ideas?

read all my other posts on this...i'm having the same problem and it backfires if i throttle it too much. there are some others that are also having the same problem. i dunno whats the deal...2gnt virus ;) . anyway i've cleaned the intake mani and tb, replaced the plugs w/ platinum 4's, and today my plugs should be here and i'm gonna replace them. i also have a leaky cam sensor that i'm gonna fix today but i highly doubt it's that. if those don't work the only thing it could be is the coil (which i'm probably going to replace anyway) or the egr sys. i'm waitin' on the egr cuz i don't want the cel :p , but if it is the egr, it needs to be blocked off. i'll let ya'll know if the stuff that i'm gonna do today works.

do you guys have a MAF (mass air-flow) Sensor??? If so.. I'll post some info I know. if not.. disregard this message :)

i had that too, try plug wires, not plugs...magnecores fixed my hesitation/backfire probs real quick.

Fuel filter?

i'm not sure about everyone else, but i believe the hesitation/backfire is if anything too rich, or not having a good spark, but either way, i don't believe that it's from a lack of fuel. the hesitation is like a momentary bogging.

hey, people keep telling you how to fix it, put on new plug wires. Listen to the people who've had the problem before.

i hope the wires fix it, i just put 'em on and i'm gonna go for a couple runs now to see if it's better. if not, i guess i'll be replacin' the coil next in my quest. problem is i'd have to wait a month for the msd one to come out. the dealer wants $220 for it. anyway, hopefully the wires'll solve it. i'll let u guys know.

just got back from testin' it all out and it's running real nice again. it was the wires. thanks to everyone for the help. it feels a lot stronger now too. i think i'm still gonna replace the coil when the new msd one comes out, but everything is good for now :thumbsup .
