it doesnt matter if he had 12.5:1 pistons he still wouldnt be near 310 whp with the mods he listed. We tried to tell him that, but he just didnt want to listen

he's an idiot. Scott Mohler is making ~ 260-270hp at the crank in his 11 second NA 420a neon. My friend just cracked 200 whp in his street driven 12 second NA 420a neon.

Sorry, but this guy isnt making anywhere near what he claims, 100 more horse than whats one of the highest output proven NA 420as, what a joke

money can buy a whole lotta crap....take a look at those small displacment formula 1 cars...putting out like 800 plus hp....so for a 2 liter displacement, that easily makes 375....so maybe the kid spent 50 grand to make his motor handle 17,000 RPM's and push 375 hp's.......;)

At that point I don't think it would be a 420a. I personally think the kid is totally full of shit, and won't do a thing to his car.

One thing! I do think that HP rating is a possibility, but I do think that kid is full of shit. If you have something that rare and that badass, to do stay online and talk shit to everyone......You show them what you've got. 800HP Eclipse TT, I saw one once, but then my damn alarm clock went off!

aboslutely not. That is a new engine that requires your car bew ripped apart.

The 375 hp is pretty damn dream world and I would like to shake the hand of whoever accomplishes that from a 2.0. The current 10 sec non turbo drag honads are just peaking near 300hp. They win by losing weight not by making power.

What I think you all failed to notice is that he does have the altezza tail lights/40 whp gain, side decals/20 whp gain, new shifter knob/90 whp gain, indiglo guages 6 color change no less/75 whp gain. So you all need to take back all of the harsh critisism. LOL!!! :D

hey guys whats up, i am new here, i was reading the stuff about the 375 hp thing. i went thru the whole forum and it sounded like I was building the motor pretty good, but the numbers seemed wrong. I noticed that you guys and the ones on the other forum kept changing what I said and blaming me for the numbers.
To answer all the questions, the only thing wrong was the numbers for the build which probaly were messed up coming from my punk brother and maybe some of the terms i used. I am still learning everyday and would like people to set me straight about things, but come on now. Why make fun of me about the numbers from someone else, yes i wanted to believe him, but i was wrong. I never said this part or this compression or this process will improve or make power, i only stated what i was doing like everyone else and then telling the numbers i heard from my brother, the whp numbers were probaly made up by my brother who doesnt know anything. So if you read thru all the threads, you'll find that the numbers said werent said by me and that im wasnt saying anything over what i knew, stating about the tt 420a is also from my brother, so its probaly wrong, i'll look into it and if it does exist then ill try to get a dyno sheet. So again i am not claiming i know everything about my car, not claiming the build will be high numbers, not claiming you guys are wrong, not claiming that particular parts of the build are bigger than others, i do know a decent amount about the build and my car, i do know that there are alot of people on here that know alot about my car as well, so again please try to excuse the number given by my brother, who he told me was from the mechanic but since the mechanic builds these engines, then it must of been from my brother, not my opinion. just trying to build it right and hopefully along the way make some friends and people to exchange info, some bashing for the numbers is ok, but enough is enough. And to 420avenger mostly you first tryed to tell me about the mistake, but only after finding from my brother that the numbers were from him and the advice from you guys, then i noticed due to inexperinece that it was a mistake. I am getting a good deal on the build, good parts, hopefully good advice from all of you and its my money, i always take my car out and race around, soon as this is done then i'll take it to the strip, so far havent gone, waiting for the build or etc to atleast do decent, i will probaly be at the portland international raceway on saturday night 31st of august, if anybody is around portland then i welcome you to come down and race around and hang out. So realistically what hp level with this should i be at and roughly what 1/4 time is that. Again thanks

and to answer your hp ?, you will probably have like 180 hp. Leave the crank alone and a couple of other things you mentioned and spend the money on turbo if you do plan on rebuilding your motor. Also i didnt see anything about cams or cam gears. you may want to get those too during the rebuild. I do believe our stock ones suck.
