30486, Got my new clutch ...question
Posted by Dave_FL, Aug-19-02 11:12 AM
I was reading the little pamphlet that came with my clutchmasters stage 4 clutch. The first paragraph says this.

"To ensure maximum performance, the followiung procedures should be executed. Flywheel resurfaced to proper specification. This will prevent thwe likelyhood of chatter or slippage. Failure to resurface the flywheel will invalidate WARRANTY." It goes on about break in and instalation procedures.

Is this first paragraph just a BS thing or what?

I just got mine too and I also read that, i think that only implies to non-modular set-up that uses the stock flywheel or something, if not I think its bs cause I haven't seen anyone here who has done that

i don't think mine had that in there. but there is no way to resurface the flywheel with it riveted to the clutch. so i bet they through it in every box.

Didnt come with my clutch kit. It would have to be for non modular cars. Make sure you be easy on it for the first 500 mile break in.
