I got the new block and everything installed. The car runs good, but I think I have some serious problems with my clutch. I bought the SPEC Stage 3 clutch with a Fidanza flywheel from Howell. When I push in the clutch and put the car in gear, It sounds like its rattling around. I tried going in and out of the driveway and I could, but it was making some bad rattling noise and the car would feel like it was "bucking" at low rpm. Meaning it would make a loud noise and you could feel the car sort of jerk, but it was like the car getting hit by a big ass hammer... hard to describe I guess. I haven't installed a clutch before, so I don't really know whats supposed to happen. Please help.

Yeah, its making a loud knocking noise, and hard to get into gear. Its NOT the motor...How exactly is the throwout bearing supposed to be in there? We just placed it on the trans input shaft, and it was just loose on there. We thought it would be pressed up against the clutch actuator lever and bearing when the engine/clutch was put back to the tranny..I'm not sure about any of this either, never did a clutch before. Clutch pedal is VERY soft..the slave cylinder is working properly, and is getting full travel of the actuator plate..I'm just thinking something is up with the throwout bearing..We need some help guys!! We've had quite a few bullshit problems with the motor install, but never expected this. But yeah, the motor fired right up, and is running smoothly.

The throwout bearing is supposed to be sitting in guides that are built into the bell housing. If it's not sitting in the guides, it's probably rattling around with the car's vibrations.

Yup, sounds like the throwout bearing isn't on right.
