Thanks for calling Alvin. Howell charges the same for the 55mm. I'm sure the extra 2 mm will make a difference tho.
Do you or anybody else know about ARD's reliability compared to Howells?
I also emailed this place: http://www.proflowdesign.com who charges $140 also but didn't say what the MM was. They are in Seattle and they say turn around is only 2 days.
...And does anybody know if it's a bitch to take off your TB? The Chilton manual sez to just unscrew the bolts with a ratchet but I remember reading here that it was not that easy.

it is easy. took off the intake pipe. and then unplug sensors, accelerator cable , the vaccum hose. and two bolts hold the TB.

I also got the 57mm TB and intake mani done for 150 by ARD and they were decent people to deal with. Just shipped mine to them and a week later I paid them to ship it back. 55 and 57 probably won't make much difference unless you are or plan to go forced induction

I dunno if it is worth an extra $40 for 2mm even with boost...I'd stick with a 55mm...ARD or Howell?..

Ken-
i was just wandering around Corbin's page and he mentioned you need TORX drivers to do the TB install. So did you need extra tools besides the ratchet?

haha,,,actually I don't know what's a TORX driver is. I just use my $5 socket set from Advanceautoparts.

everyone says a faster throttle response...and an improvement at WOT. I'll tell you in about a week about what it does to my car.
