its time to start adding performance. i have a GST with KN Filter, all the free mods i can find, 1g BOV, etc. stock turbo and stock exhaust.

what would you spend 1000 on???

im thinking exhaust and boost control, maybe CAI.

If you have stock turbo, I would just go ahead and get a 16g or somethin, should cost around that much, and just wait for a little more money to get a couple of other little things

can i add a bigger turbo with everything else pretty much stock?? will it bolt right on?

also.. how much do you think i could sell the stock turbo for? the turbo only has about 20k miles on it.

give us a list of your current mods

Just do a CAI, manual boost controller and exhaust.Maybe a new downpipe if you get a good deal on the other stuff.

1g BOV
dump tube mod
custom upper IC pipe

im currently getting about 15 PSI with the stock turbo, which ive been told seems to high. someone thought maybe im suffering from boost creep.

thats all folks, all other mods are appearence or sound related

oh, and im rolling in an auto (yah thats right.. an auto!) : )

Definately exhaust, boost controller, and boost guage. Then get a bigger turbo with the next $1000 that rolls along.

im kinda leaning toward exhaust now. i think i should prep the car better before upgrading the turbo. so heres a new quesion..

what should i look for with the exhaust system? is just replaying the muffler enough? any manufacture recommendations?

also, other than a boost controller is there anything else i can do to push the stock T to its limit?

Since your turbo you'll want the biggest piping possible.

We can't really make a recommendation on a manufacturer. It's all personal choice.

I personaly will NEVER buy Greddy again because my SP catback fell apart. Personaly I always like the Apexi WS (WorldSport).

I wouldn't upgrade the turbo until you know your fuel system can handle the added boost.

No one has said to get the final drive gear mod. It's only like $90 and *supposidly* takes off .6 seconds in the 1/4 mi.

u wanna have bpu b4 a turbo upgrade, or else you will not have enough flow for the new turbo. You need gauges, exhaust, boost controller, maybe a wastegate, depending on turbo, fuel mods, etc. It's not as easy as it seems. A 14B off a 1st gen will give a little more room for power, a T-28 will go right on with some fuel stuff, and maybe a 16G. Anything bigger, and you probably need a significant increase for injectors, fuel pump, etc. Main thing is your exhaust, you don't wanna "choke" the turbo.
I say get 3" turbo-back exhaust. That's probably gonna hit u for a good sum of money, b/c a cat-back is about 500+, and DP's aren't that cheap I don't think. And if u run a cat, you'll want a hi flow. With the $$$ left over, maybe you can get a tranny cooler or something.

what is the final gear mod and what does it do

Its for automatics. The specific FD mod they are talkign about, will only work on 420's because of the final drive gear they are replacing only fits NT. But its possible to find another... I have no clue who would use a similar tranny...anyone? Oh yeah, it makes it so you accelerate faster but have a slower top speed.
