ok soon I will be getting crane cams along with AEM cam gears.

should I go for the NOS grind and just slap them on along with the cam gears?

or should I go with #16s drags and spend another $500 on valves springs and new head gasket ect.......?

the reason why I am asking is because if I go for the NOS grind I can just put them on without having to upgrade my valve springs, but if I were to go for drag grinds, I WILL HAVE TO upgrade the valve springs which also mean that I will have to take the head off again (I just replaced my head gasket few months ago) and buy the upper engine gasket set.

ok I know none of you guys have tried any of those cams yet, but do you think the drag grinds will be worth the time and money of the NOS grind?

I think the drag grind would be worth it, but when I do it I have to worry about passing emissions, so I'm not sure what I'm doing yet.

The ultimate set up in my eyes would be to raise compression and use grind #18. Drag grind for High Compression, beef up the valves valve springs and retainers, and be ready for an AFX ECU that raises red line.

$500? Crane Titanium Valve Springs and Retainers are $300. Is the upper gasket set $200?

I think the latter will yield more HP but might be a headache. You should be able to rev much higher right (with ECU adj)? But that in itself might cause drivability problems etc...

I know you can pull it off tho man! For me, i'd stick with the NOS grinds at most. But ur the craziest 420A owner i know so go ahead and take it to the max!
