OK..i need some opinions i got a 95 eclipse gs and i not happy with the performance of it the 125 hp that i have seen on the latest dyno post well what can i say..
anyways here is my question i may have the oportunity to trade my car for a 1995 GS-T (maybe stillnot sure) and from what i know this is my uncles car hes swaping the engine cause it blew and putting a newer in it (he works at a junkyard) anyways he told me that the car is amazing and the only detail is the engine but should fix it wiht the new engine. I asked him if he would sell it to me he said he will at a resoanable price or i will ask him when hes done with it if he would like to trade it for my car..so is this a good idea

Well, if he gives it to you for cheap then I say go for it.

Still gotta think about the higher insurance on a factory turboed car though....guess it all depends on your performance goals and how much you can afford.

As long as the miles are close go ahead and do it.

he should replace it with an older 4g63 engine..to avoid crank walk..

Crankwalk sucks....Turbo your GS.You can sell me your header if you do.Moving up to a GS-T is pointless in my opinion. If your gonna pay for a factory turbo car you might as well get a GSX.

Forget GST or GSX get a TSI. Talons are a lot cheaper just cause there Eagle and not Mitsu. You can find 96 AWD's for like 7G's w/ 70K miles no joke. Turbo'ing a GS is a lot less reliable and if I had to do it over I woulda gotten a 4G63 instead. Stock turbo might be smaller but compression is already lower and is meant to handle boost. If you put lower compression pistons in a 420A u will loose even more power. TSI all the way or go for a 1G.
