28967, TransGo shift kit Posted by DSMeclipseGS, Jul-30-02 03:16 PM
Hey I'm very interested in making my auto shift crisp, fast, and hard. I went to the TransGo site and I saw that some come with an instructional video.
Anyone do this to their tranny yet? If so which kit? I am looking for very fast shifts. I want the best kit with a video. I guess it would be a little easier with a video. If not, which one is a good one to get without a video and I'll just take it to a pro. How much would they charge for installation (at a tranny shop). Thanks.

stratus drive gear imo. shift kits usually fuck up electronic trannies. Not always, but quite often. Get the stratus drive gears, and the gearing will be better. My auto chirps 2nd with no problem. I have convinced 2 of my friends that I can do it. Get it to the shift point, let off, and floor it back real quick. She'll chirp and jump forward.

Actually I wanted to get a crazy fast auto by doing both. I guess I'll just do final drive mod.

The full transgo kit is a great modification also, you can do the valve body part pretty easy and if you want the full kit then you have to remove the tranny, or parts of it anyway, but just the valve body section alone will quicken up the shifts, it will be a harder shift too.
So mods for the auto go like this
higher stall torque converter (like a 2800) final drive gear modification transgo shift kit
do all three of those and you will no longer be afraid of a stick shift 'klipse
you can also get better internals and a LSD and be rocking the auto, thats my plans, ive learned enough about the engine now its time to learn about the tranny

I'm still on stock ones. The dodge dealer in town is being bitchy about using the drb3 tool. I have to go somewhere else.
