A stage1 turbo is just your basic turbo setup, without an intercooler.

Exactly what 99rs said. Check out the Hahn Racecraft banner at the top of your screen when it pops up. You can learn alot there about Stage I, II, and III setups.

it's an intercooler, it cools the air that comes out of the turbo before it enters the engine. it's the difference between a stage1 and a stage2.

Factory turbo off a GST is for an entirely different engine. your non turbo car has a Chrysler 420A engine while your buddies GS-T has a Mitsubishi 4G63 Engine in it, so I'm pretty sure it won't fit. as for the install, depends on your level of competence with mechanical stuff, and how much you trust yourself. If you have the money to spend getting it done professionally, and you don't hink you can do it yourself, then have it done. Of course a stage 1 setup will come with instructions, so you can always take a look at it, and see if it's outside of your abilities. just my .02

no offense but you NEED to learn alot more about turbo before you go out and buy a kit. Unless you have rich parents who will keep dumping money into what ever your little heart wants, then go for it.

If you want a turbo, then read this site and howstuffworks.com for any info on turbocharging you can, a turbo is not something to just slap on and forget about it.

If you just go out and buy a stage 1 kit from HRC then you will probably end up blowing your engine in under a month, or many other problems that may arise.
