28582, My Plans... thoughts?

Alright, as of right now I am going into my Senior year in High School, I dont make all that much in a normal month (summer not included, otherwise I'm stuck at 20 hrs/wk). I don't have the $$ to go turbo, and if I save up for it, I'll be waiting all year. I would like to do the turbo thing, but its just not going to happen for at least a year.

With that out of the way, the following is what I'm planning on doing (in order):

16-17" Wheels
Front Strut Tie-Bar
PowerStop Rear brake pads
PowerStop Cross-drilled brake rotors
Injen Intake
AF/X Underdrive Pulley
Bosal Headers (Pacesetter maybe.. heard bad things though)

What else should I add to this? Anything that I should stay away from (brands)?

Right now I have the GS-T muffler on my car, would it be better to get an aftermarket exhaust, or would I not be able to tell much difference?

Thanks in advance.

Skip the header and save that 400 bucks for the turbo, and the gs-t muffler is just fine for now. Other than that you will get some nice results out of the other mods. But dont think your gonna be able to smoke everything on the streets with those mods. I tried doing the bolton thing and was very unimpressed with the results, if I would have just lived with the slow car for a while and not spent money on the boltons I would have been turbo'd by now

if you're getting new wheels, you should really really lower the car cause the wheel gap on the eclipse is so horrible looking. plus, it will handle SO much better.

I say drop the car, drop the headers, forget exhaust, and get a bored TB or spacer

This is what I would do:

It won't really take that long to save for the turbo. Think this way...

If you skip the intake (which can't be used w/ turbo)...... $200 saved

If you skip the header (which can't be used w/ turbo)...... $300 saved

So far that's $500 saved up.

If you want to do the wheels you'll need it lowered or you won't be happy with it. The lowering costs around $500 total.

So save the money from the wheels.................... $1000 saved

So far you have 1/2 of the money saved up (If you're going to get a stage 2). Work to get the other $1500.

This way when you get the turbo you'll be able to beat most cars out there and you'll be having so much fun with racing with the turbo it won't seem very long until you have money to buy your rims.

See if your parents or friends will loan you some money and that way you'll get it quicker and then just pay them back.
