Having had an A/T that was, at one time, stock, I can safely say that if you can find the power band, you are better then me. My car was sooooooo slow that I doubt it had any power that could be classified as being in any range.

little harsh there man.

I dont know about RPMS range....but i found that if you are coastin at around 25-29 mph and floor it, its gives you the biggest seat jerk your gonna get without turbo.

hehe.... as much as you AT guys don't want to admit it, there really isn't one. That tranny wasn't meant for power, it was meant for regular driving around town or the highway. Abuse it and it will let you know, at 32,000 miles my AT was blown completely apart because I thought I was Mario Andretti and was being dumb with it. I said screw that, traded that car in while it was in the shop for my current one. Anyway, just my opinion... don't anyone go postal or anything.

its all in the driving skills, I have beat many cars that really I shouldnt have with my AT, its all in the driving, and yeah I start to get pushed back in the seat from 4-6k

Sounds like a personal problem :)
I do get pushed back in the seat, like I said its all in driving skills, etc.. I can chirp second if I want by letting off the gas the second before it shifts and then slam the gas down. My car has lots of top end, so it starts out slow then pushes you back in the seat
