All this work was done by mechanic's.

Got the Acc, Power Steering, and Timing Belts all changed at 58K

New Acc Belt at 68K, it split down the middle, mechanic said it was too tight the first time.

New Acc Belt 500 miles later, mechanic installed wrong, belt jumped a tooth and was off. Mechanic checked alignment of every wheel/pulley, everything was aligned, his guy just put it on wrong.

That's brings me up to now (71K), I have a squeek coming from the Acc belt. It varies in loudness and frequency. Usually louder after car warms up and nonexistant with the car is cold. Could it be the water pump? I did not have the water pump or tensioner replaced because the guy who did it checked them out and said they were fine.

just try to tighten it up a bit, could also be the tensioner pulley/bearing etc. but just try to adj the acc belt first

...the belt being too tight or too loose. I did both. If it is too tight it will be ok for a couple weeks but will come back later, and makes that horrible sound when the wheel is turned fully. Just play with it for a bit. It doesn't really need a lot to tighten it.

Ok, that's two "adj the belt" replies. How do I do it? The Chilton's manual once again sucks for detailed instructions on how to adjust the tensioner. Thanks for you info guys.

First check the play in the belt (with the engine OFF of course) but you should be able to press it in the middle of two pulleys and move it about 1/4", if its any more then look by the upper radiator hose there is a bolt that you just tighten up right there, if the belt feels real tight then try to loosen it a bit.
