I decided to keep the car, but Im going to need some help. Ayyight heres the problem with it. I ve got a check engine light that will not go off. Its shooting an eleven code, Ive replaced the cam, cransk sensors and made sure the timing is right and can't lose this light. Also losin horsepower left and right. Anybody with and suggestions please let me know. Thanx everybody...

Hey, just a thought, but when i was 16 i had a different car, engine light came on and i had no luck in getting it to go off.. i think i changed everything in that car that was electronically related.. still spitting out codes... so i tried the last thing humanly possible. i went and got a new computer... and it fixed the problem! car even ran a TON better. idled and everything again.. (then the timing chain broke, breakin some expensive stuff.. hooray :( ) anyway, make sure and take your old one out first and turn it in, that should knock off about 75 bucks if u goto autozone.. if you try it let me know how it works out. good luck! :thumbsup

Best Way to Fix a CEL is to take your dash apart and pull your gauge assembly and take the bulb out of the CEL window, I just found out that the previous owner of my car did that, no wonder I never get CEL's...freakin' bastard!

I'm simply responding to the subject of the message and voicing my opinion....which I believe is allowed here? Without this turning into a slam match or arguing for 20 posts, I'm just saying I by no means claim to have a fast or nice looking car, but if you'd like to search the archives you'll see not only have I uploaded pics of my car to help people in certain projects, but I do JUST that, I help people. I've been a member here for about a year now and just now I get negative feedback for a simple opinion? Do what you want guys, just don't get so anal about negative opinions......it's something rather common on these online chat forums.

how do u know its code 11?? maybe its code 12, and u have nuthin to worry about.....

i dunno what 11 relates to tho, so maybe if sumone spoke up, or u could datalog it to get more info...

fknfst, i think weepul thought the pic you posted was of somebody's elses's car since your post was titled "what's wrong with this car" followed by a pic of the car BEFORE the actual description of the problem you were having. that was my first impression at least. i thought you posted a pic of someone elses ride and were asking us what was wrong with it...i was thinking to myself the roof looks cloth and its got a huge spoiler, only i realized before i actually posted that you had an actual engine problem. maybe the post should have been titled "whats wrong with MY car."
so, he is of course entitled to his own opinion, whether or not its a good idea to post it is another story, but i dont see any other "haters" talking shit about your ride, so you all might chill out a bit.

code 11 is a problem with the camshaft and/or crankshaft position sensor. If it wont go off, do what i did. Unhook your battery and let the code clear (if you havent done this already). I had a code 11 and that is all I did and I havent gotten it back yet!

Yeah, I hear ya, Cyan. I thought about it afterwards!! No big deal though. Its all just fun..No hard feelings to anyone here...The deal with the wing is that, I ordered the 16 in brackets not realizing how freaking tall they would make it stand. I am thinking about ordering smaller ones, but then again, it actually does one hell of a job as far as downforce and the drag isn't as bad as you might think. Plus its fun seeing peoples reactions to it. Thanx though...

not nearly as much as you would think it would with a wing that big....Yeah it helps only at higher speeds though, nothing for just cruisin around

replace map sensor, replace o2 sensors, and disconnect battery...wait a min...reconnect...let the ECU "relearn" your car and its settings, drive around for about 5 min while it seems to "act up"...then see what happens and if everything goes away.
